About JPDA

Journal of Pakistan Dental Association is the (JPDA) the official scientific journal of Pakistan Dental Association (PDA). It is published quarterly. A double-blind peer review system is followed to ensure a high quality of publications. In addition to that, each publication undergoes a plagiarism check with Turnitin. JPDA was started in 1984 and has been published ever since. The Journal over the years has had articles from all Pakistan and other regions of the World e.g. USA, UK, Australia, Middle East and South East Asia. The articles published in the journals conform to the highest standards and quality.

The Journal has ventured online in 2009 and became the first Pakistani online Dental Publication to offer online article submission and tracking facility. The peer review system has also beeg automated and this will reduce delays and ensure timely delivery of articles for publication.

Aims & Scope

Journal of the Pakistan Dental Association (JPDA) is an internationally peer reviewed journal with high standards of publishing. It is aimed for publishing high quality papers of substantial content and interest in all branches of basic and clinical dentistry, i.e., Aesthetic dentistry, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Minimal Intervention Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Preventive Dentistry, Periodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dento-Maxillofacial Radiology, Oral Biology, Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine.

Journal of the Pakistan Dental Association is committed to publish rapidly to allow new research findings with potential global impact to be rapidly distributed among the readers in diverse areas of interest and expertise.

About PDA

Pakistan Dental Association is a non-profit corporation organized and registered under the laws of the Government of Pakistan.

The Pakistan Dental Association is an organization of dentists which has as its aim the encouragement of the health of the public and the promotion of the art and science of dentistry.

There are Branches of the Association in all States and a Provisional Branch in the Northern Territory. Membership is voluntary and over 90% of dentists in Pakistan are members.

This membership implies an obligation for members to practice their profession in accordance with the high standards laid down by the Association.

Functions of Pakistan Dental Association

  • Maintain a national body representing organized dentistry in Pakistan; namely, the Central Council of the Pakistan Dental Association and its Executive Committee.
  • Maintain a national headquarters for the Association.
  • Maintain the records of Association activities and history.
  • Maintain a continuing communication with the membership.
  • Manage the Association’s finances and maintain a continuing communication with the membership.
